Understand SPF, DKIM and DMARC

Understand sending authorization, message signatures and authentication policies before changing DNS.

Practical guide. Use only the connection and DNS details provided when your account is activated; .example domains are illustrative.

SPF

SPF identifies systems authorized to send for a domain. Review the existing record before changes and avoid multiple SPF records.

DKIM

DKIM verifies a message signature using a key published in DNS. The selector and value must come from your provider.

DMARC

DMARC sets a policy for messages that fail authentication alignment. Review reports and legitimate sources before enforcing a stricter policy.
